How it Works 

At the heart of all Sea Green Health products is SeaGreen-H1™, our proprietary blend of Tetraselmis chuii and Dunaliella salina, two species of marine microalgae of high nutritional value.

Tetraselmis chuii is grown organically (not harvested from the oceans) for its' several health benefits It includes a wide spectrum of vitamins and trace elements. The algae are also rich in SOD (superoxide dismutase), one of nature’s strongest antioxidants, and other antioxidant enzymes such as Catalase. These help to support the immune system and also support normal functioning of energy metabolism in the body. SOD is present in every cell in the body, protects all cells from harmful free radicals and acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory.

Dunaliella salina is another organically grown marine microalgae with proven health benefits. It is a rich source of beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, zeaxanthin, cryptoxanthin, lutein and lycopene. Beta carotene is converted into essential vitamin A and is synthesised only up to the level needed, therefore always guaranteeing the required antioxidant level. Beta carotene helps to support a healthy immune system and helps to maintain healthy skin and eyes. Dunaliella extracts are also potent free radical scavengers.

Lactobacillus acidophilus, a powerful probiotic, has proven health benefits and each serving contains a minimum 5BN CFU (colony forming units). A huge amount of research has shown that the balance of bacteria in your gut is linked to overall health and disease. “Friendly” bacteria such as Lactobacillus can help rebalance the microflora in the gut which can help boost the immune system, mood, and help reduce symptoms with certain digestive disorders.

Aquamin™, with significant prebiotic activity, has been developed and produced in Ireland is a natural marine sourced multi-mineral which is derived from the cytoskeleton of the red algal lithothamnion species. It contains significant amounts of calcium, magnesium, as well as 72 trace minerals. Aquamin™ has been the subject of 39 peer reviewed publications over the last 15 years. These support its' unique health promoting properties, enhancing gut health by restoring a balanced immune response, promoting the differentiation of colonic cells and providing a balanced gut
microflora.

Ginger is a rhizome that has been used in food and medicine for thousands of years. It is high in antioxidants such as gingerol which supports gut health by helping to combat indigestion, excess gas and bloating. It also stimulates the production of hydrochloric acid and bile which helps digest both protein and fats respectively. Our ginger extract is high in gingerol content.

Vitamin D is added and while it has long been known to play a very important role in supporting a healthy immune system, it also plays a very important role in helping to maintain a healthy gut microflora and has a positive influence on helping to reduce certain gastrointestinal disorders.
